The marketing industry has experienced one of the most significant transformations of the modern era: the advent of digital and social media influencers, now a fundamental component of marketing strategies everywhere. Almost three quarters of marketers are predicted to use influencer marketing in 2022. Influencers have enabled multimillion pound brands to positively connect with consumers in an unprecedented way. Influencers have created a new celebrity tier and have played a pivotal role in industries such as travel, fashion, fitness, and cosmetics.

This online short course is aimed at anybody who wants to expand their knowledge of influencers and influencer media. The course will provide a general understanding and in-depth knowledge of the power of the influencer, and the positive and negative impact they can have on society and individuals. Learners will explore how someone can be influenced/become an influencer and why influencer marketing has become such a powerful tool. Learners will build a foundational knowledge of how to assist individuals and businesses when it comes to influencer media. The course also equips the learner with ways to set personal boundaries online as well as de-escalation techniques when managing negative opinions online.
